Roc Tan's Swivel Units

Smooth Rotation, Canadian Engineered

Roc Tan’s Swivel Units are precision-engineered assemblies that allow your windsocks to rotate freely, ensuring accurate wind indication without wrap-around issues. Built in Alberta from carbon steel and UHMW bushings, our swivel units deliver low-friction, maintenance-free performance—designed for both standard and lighted configurations.

Swivel Unit Components

Each Swivel Unit assembly includes:

  1. Hoop & Support – Carbon steel rod and support brace
  2. Axis Pipe – Precision-cut carbon steel pipe, forms the rotational spindle
  3. Base Housing – Carbon steel square tubing containing UHMW bushing(s)
  4. Preload & Support Rods – Keep windsock partially open to prevent entanglement
  5. Security Hardware – Cotter pins, washers, and fasteners for robust assembly
  6. (Optional) Sock Light – High-output LED fixture for illuminated windsocks
